WHO ARE WE?

Our name comes from swahili, Kenya’s national language, and it means prosperity. We are a nonprofit organization and our goal is to promote human and community development through three main pillars: education, empowerment and sustainability.

how to support us

Due to the pandemic crisis, all schools are closed and our projects are suspended until further notice. Now, since kids can’t go to school, the 149 families we benefit are counting on us to make sure their children have regular access to food.

Every contribution generates impact. Choose an amount and make the difference with us!

WHAT DO WE DO?

At the moment, most of our actions are concentrated in Kenya’s countryside, where half of the local population lives below the poverty line and there is no free education.

OUR PROJECTs

OUR PROJECTS

ENDELEZA DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
KAITHE

In our study centre, children aged 3 to 14 from the community of Kaithe attend activities for cognitive stimulation, study support sessions, sports and arts. The EDC opens every Saturday and also offers three meals per day to the students.

We want to develop the children in all areas and intelligences, besides making sure that they are having a lot of fun!

SPONSORSHIP
RUIRI

This program is how we started acting. We guarantee that teenagers aged 14 to 18 are able to complete their studies in secondary school, in a country where there is no free education for this age range.

At the moment we support seven girls in Ruiri Girls’ Secondary School, a boarding school that ensures that they have food, accommodation, education and everything they need for their development.

SUSTAINABLE PRIMARY SCHOOL
MUGAE

In the Primary School of Mugae’s community, we provide free education to over 240 children aged 3 to 14!

We cover the costs of all their school meals, besides paying the salary of two teachers, the cook and the school’s watchman.

Here, we are also aiming to develop a plan for community engagement among student’s parents and teachers.

The people responsible for supporting these students are the sponsors. They are able to keep in touch with their sponsored students and follow their academic performance throughout the program. Right now, all of our girls have very special sponsors!
